Keep calls and recordings syncing on Samsung
On One UI, give LumaKol unrestricted battery use, add it to Never sleeping apps and turn on the Samsung Phone app’s call recording so recordings attach.

Allow unrestricted battery use
Open Settings → Apps → LumaKol → Battery and choose Unrestricted. You can also start from LumaKol: More → Diagnostics → Battery optimisation opens the phone’s battery optimisation list.

Add LumaKol to Never sleeping apps
Samsung puts apps you have not opened for a few days to sleep, and later into deep sleep. A sleeping app misses the end of your calls.
- Open Settings → Battery → Background usage limits (on older models, Settings → Battery and device care → Battery → Background usage limits)
- Tap Never sleeping apps, tap +, select LumaKol and tap Add
- If LumaKol is listed under Sleeping apps or Deep sleeping apps, remove it there
Tip: Samsung’s Community has reports of the battery setting going back to Optimized on its own. Never sleeping apps keeps LumaKol awake either way, so do both. - 3
Turn on Auto record calls in the Samsung Phone app
Open the Phone app, tap ⋮ → Settings → Record calls and switch on Auto record calls. Accept the terms if asked, then choose whether to record all calls, calls with numbers not saved in your contacts, or calls with specific numbers. Samsung notes that call recording may not be available in some countries because of local rules; if Record calls is missing, your phone cannot record in your region.
- 4
Find where the recordings are saved
Samsung lists your recordings in the Phone app under Settings → Record calls → Recorded calls, and in Voice Recorder under Call recordings. The audio files themselves are stored on the phone’s internal storage, which is why LumaKol can attach them.
- 5
Turn on recording sync in LumaKol
In the app, open More → Calling and switch on Sync dialer recordings (only calls that match a lead are attached). If the app asks for access to music and audio, allow it: LumaKol reads only audio files your dialer creates around the time of a lead call. Two rows appear under the switch. Recordings folder is set to Automatic, which searches the phone’s audio library and finds most dialers’ files on its own. Upload recordings on Wi-Fi only is on by default, so recordings wait for Wi-Fi; switch it off if callers work on mobile data all day.
Tip: Check More → Diagnostics afterwards: with recording sync on, a Call recording sync row joins the list and should say Allowed. - 6
Point LumaKol at the folder if needed
If calls in the Calls tab say No recording found for this call while the Phone app did record them, find the folder: open My Files → Internal storage → Recordings and look for the folder that holds your call recordings. Then in LumaKol open More → Calling → Recordings folder, go to that folder, tap Use this folder and then Allow.
- 7
Test with one call
Call a lead from LumaKol and talk for a few seconds. The outcome prompt should open as soon as you hang up, and the call should show Looking for the recording… and then Recording found or Recording uploaded in the Calls tab.
What you have at the end
- LumaKol set to Unrestricted and listed in Never sleeping apps
- Auto record calls on in the Samsung Phone app, where your region allows it
- Recordings attached to the matching call
Common questions
Should I turn off Put unused apps to sleep?+
You do not have to. Apps in Never sleeping apps are left alone even when it is on. Turning it off as well is a safe choice if you still see calls arrive late.
Does the other person hear that the call is recorded?+
That depends on the Phone app and your country, not on LumaKol. Recording rules differ by country, so check what applies where you call.
