Calling hours, attempt limits and a no-contact block
Write your calling rules once in Settings → Calling policy. The phone app checks them before it dials, so the rules hold on a busy day without anyone policing the team.
- Checked before every dial
- Requested no contact blocks the lead
- Retries spaced by your delays
14-day free trial, then paid plans from ₹399$9 per calling seat per month. Pricing

What it does
What the calling policy controls
Calling hours set when calling starts and ends and which days are calling days; a window can run past midnight for teams calling other time zones. Outside the hours the app warns before dialling and flags the call as “Outside hours”. Dates marked closed in Settings → Working days & holidays block calling for the whole day.
Attempt limits stop a number being rung forever. After the maximum number of not-connected calls, a lead leaves the queue and is flagged for review, and retry delays space out the attempts before that: until its delay is over, the app, the web and the browser extension do not dial the lead, apart from the one extra try a caller can switch on for a Power Dialer session. The default outcome list includes “Requested no contact”: saving it moves the lead to Lost and, while the block is on, the apps refuse to dial that lead from anywhere.
A lead can also be marked Do not call from its page or in bulk from the leads list, on the web or in the app, with a reason. A marked lead cannot be called from the web or the app, click-to-call from the browser extension refuses it and it leaves every calling queue; logging “Requested no contact” marks it automatically while the block is on, and only owners, admins and team leads can remove the mark.
Calling hours and days
Start and end times, calling days, windows past midnight, and closed dates from Working days & holidays.
Attempts and retry delays
A maximum number of unanswered attempts, and a delay in minutes before each retry, such as 60, 180 and 1440.
No-contact block
Leads marked Requested no contact cannot be dialled from the lead page, call history or a click-to-call from the web. On by default.
Do not call (DND) mark
Mark a lead as Do not call with a reason, one at a time or in bulk, on the web or in the app. LumaKol blocks every call to it, shows who marked it and when, and only managers can remove it.
Mandatory outcomes
Make the call outcome mandatory before the next call, so speed never costs you the record.
Lead data limits
Mask or hide phone numbers for agents, choose which roles can export, and block screenshots in the mobile app.
Calls from new numbers
Decide whether calls on the work SIM from numbers that are not leads stay on the phone (the default) or become leads.
How it works
How to set it up
An owner or admin, about ten minutes.
- 1
Open Settings → Calling policy
Set the calling window and calling days. For a team calling another country, choose hours that suit the people being called.
- 2
Set attempts and retries
Choose the maximum unanswered attempts and a delay for each retry. Leads that reach the limit leave the queue for a manager to decide.
- 3
Keep the no-contact block on
Leave “Block calls to leads who asked not to be contacted” ticked, and keep Requested no contact in your outcome list even if you rename others.
- 4
Tell the team
Agents see warnings in the app before a dial breaks a rule. Calls outside hours are flagged in the call list for managers.
Who it’s for
Who it’s for
Teams calling consumers
Lending, insurance, education and real estate teams who must respect calling hours and opt-outs.
Owners responsible for compliance
Owners who want the rules enforced by the app instead of reminders in a group chat.
Teams protecting their numbers
Spacing retries keeps a number from being hammered, which also helps keep it off spam lists.
What LumaKol does not check
- The Do not call mark is your own list: LumaKol does not check national registries such as India’s NCPR (DND), the UK’s TPS or the US National Do Not Call Registry. Screen cold lists against the registry that applies to you before importing them.
- The calling-hours check uses the clock on the agent’s phone, not the lead’s time zone.
- Outside calling hours an agent can still choose to call; the call is flagged. On closed days and for no-contact leads the app does not dial.
Questions
More answers on the FAQ page.
Does LumaKol check the DND registry?
No. LumaKol blocks leads who asked your business not to contact them, but it does not check India’s NCPR, the UK’s TPS or the US Do Not Call Registry. Screen your lists before you import them.
Can an agent override the no-contact block?
No. While the block is on, the apps refuse to dial a lead marked Requested no contact, with no “call anyway”.
Can an agent remove a Do not call mark?
No. Anyone who logs calls can mark a lead as Do not call, but only owners, admins and team leads can remove the mark, after a confirmation, and every change is recorded on the lead.
What happens when a lead reaches the attempt limit?
It leaves the calling queue and shows on the web under Leads with the Last call filter set to Reached attempt limit, so a manager decides whether to try again, reassign it or close it.
Can an agent call a lead again before its retry delay is over?
No. In the app, Call says from when the lead can be called, and the queue, auto-dial and Power Dialer move on to the next lead; click-to-call from the web and the browser extension refuse it too. The one exception is the single extra try a caller can switch on for a Power Dialer session.
Do calling hours follow the lead’s time zone?
No. The check uses the agent’s phone clock, so set hours that suit the people you call.
Is the calling policy on every plan?
Yes. LumaKol has a 14-day free trial, then paid plans from ₹399$9 per calling seat per month, and the calling policy is in every plan.
