Call tracking app

The call tracking app that logs sales calls from your team’s own phones

Install LumaKol on your callers’ Android phones and pick the work SIM. Every call on it is matched to the right lead with its time, duration and result, whether it was dialled from the app or from the phone’s own dialer. Calls with anyone who is not a lead never leave the phone.

  • Logged without typing
  • Works on the SIM they already use
  • Personal calls stay on the phone

What the app records for every call

Each call on the work SIM becomes an entry on the lead’s timeline, and nobody types it in. On Android the app reads the phone’s own call log when a call ends, then checks again later, so a call made while the app was closed or the phone was restarting still shows up.

Numbers are compared in full international format, so a lead saved with a local number still matches a call that shows the country code. A call with someone who is not a lead is ignored on the phone.

Direction
Outgoing or incoming, as the phone’s call log records it.
Start and end time
When the call began and finished, shown in each viewer’s own time zone.
Duration
How long the call lasted. It adds up to talk time per caller in reports.
Result
Connected, not answered, declined or voicemail, read from the call log.
Lead and caller
The call lands on the lead whose number it matches, under the caller who made or took it.
Outcome and notes
What the caller logs afterwards: the outcome, a note and the next follow-up.
Recording, where the phone makes one
If the phone’s dialer records calls and recording sync is on, the file is attached to the call.

How call tracking works

Each phone needs a few minutes of setup. After that, callers just make calls.

  1. 1

    Pick the work SIM

During setup each caller chooses the SIM they use for work and allows access to the call log. On a dual-SIM phone, calls on the other SIM are skipped.

  2. 2

Call the way you already do

Tap Call on a lead in the app or dial from the phone’s own dialer. Calls from leads are tracked too, and the lead’s name, stage and last outcome appear while the phone rings.

  3. 3

    The call finds its lead

When the call ends, the app reads it from the call log, matches the number to a lead and saves it. With no connection, the call waits on the phone, encrypted, and uploads later.

  4. 4

    The caller logs what happened

The outcome form opens right after a lead call. Your admin decides whether logging an outcome is a reminder or a requirement before the next call.

Three ways to track sales calls

Most teams start by writing calls down, and some move to a VoIP calling app. This is how both compare with tracking the calls on the phone itself.

Reports built from the calls themselves

The phone logs every call, so the numbers include the calls nobody would have written down.

  • Calls and talk time

Calls made, answered calls and talk time for each caller, for any date range.

  • Answer rate

The share of calls that connect, per caller. A list full of wrong numbers or a caller ringing at bad times stands out.

  • Best time to call

A weekday-by-hour heatmap of when your leads actually pick up.

  • Speed to lead and follow-ups

How long new leads wait for their first call, and how many follow-ups are made on time.

  • Caller scorecards

Calls, answered calls, talk time, average call length and outcomes for each caller, with review scores for recorded calls.

  • Live board

Who is on a call, on a break or idle right now, with today’s outcomes.

Call tracking that leaves personal calls alone

Your callers use their own phones, so the app is strict about what it keeps and what it sends.

  • Work SIM only

Calls on any SIM the caller did not choose for work are skipped on the phone and never stored.

  • Calls with non-leads stay on the phone

A call with a number that is not a lead is dropped on the phone. The one exception is missed-call leads: an admin setting, off by default, that sends incoming calls from new numbers on the work SIM so they can become leads.

  • Permissions asked one at a time

Each permission is asked for on its own screen with the reason first, and any of them can be skipped. Saying no turns that feature off and the rest of the app keeps working.

  • No accessibility service, no call audio

The app does not use Android’s accessibility service to watch the screen, and it never records call audio itself.

On iPhone, call tracking works differently

Apple does not let any app read the iPhone’s call log, so automatic capture is Android only. The iPhone app, coming to the App Store, tracks the calls a caller starts from it and labels each one by how much the phone could see: observed, partially observed or self-reported.

What works on iPhone

Calls started from the app with the outcome form straight after, lead names on incoming calls through Caller ID, and the same leads, queue, follow-ups and templates as on Android.

What iPhone cannot do

Log calls dialled outside the app or calls coming in, choose a work SIM, sync recordings, or turn missed calls from new numbers into leads.

Call tracking questions

Are calls dialled from the phone’s normal dialer tracked?+

Yes, on Android. The app reads the phone’s call log, so a call to a lead’s number is logged whether it was dialled from LumaKol, the phone’s dialer or a contact. Calls to numbers that are not leads are ignored.

Does it work with any carrier, in any country?+

Yes. Calls are ordinary mobile calls on the SIM, so the carrier does not matter, and numbers from any country are understood in international format. The phone needs Android 10 or newer.

Does it work on dual-SIM phones?+

Yes. Each caller picks the work SIM during setup, and calls on the other SIM are skipped on the phone. On a single-SIM phone, every call with a lead is tracked.

Can managers listen to calls?+

Only if the phone’s dialer records calls and recording sync is turned on in the app; the recording is then attached to the call. Owners, admins and team leads (for their own teams) can play recordings, and you can let callers hear their own. Some phone brands and countries do not allow dialer recording.

Can one person track their own calls?+

Yes. An individual account works the same way: install the app, pick your work SIM, and your calls with leads are logged. Plans start at a single seat.

What happens without internet?+

Calls work as normal because they go over the mobile network. The app keeps the call log on the phone, encrypted, and uploads it when the connection comes back.
