Keep calls syncing on realme, OPPO and OnePlus
realme UI, ColorOS and OxygenOS pause apps in the background. Allow background activity, lock LumaKol in recent tasks and check how your dialer records calls.

Turn off battery optimisation from LumaKol
Open LumaKol → More → Diagnostics and tap Battery optimisation, then set LumaKol so it is not optimised in the list that opens. During setup this is the Keep capturing in the background step.

Allow background activity
This is the setting that matters most on these phones.
- realme UI 6.0 and 7.0: Settings → Battery → Power saving settings → App battery management → LumaKol → Allow background activity
- realme UI 4.0 and 5.0: Settings → Battery → More settings → App battery management → LumaKol → Allow background activity
- OPPO (ColorOS 15): Settings → Apps → App management → LumaKol → Battery usage → Allow background activity. ColorOS 14 may call it Allow background activity and auto-launch.
- OnePlus (OxygenOS 14 and later): Settings → Apps → App management → LumaKol → Battery usage → Allow background activity
- 3
Allow auto launch where your phone has it
On realme UI 4.0, open Settings → Apps → Auto launch and switch LumaKol on. realme UI 5.0 and later have no separate auto launch switch; Allow background activity covers it. On OPPO, also switch off Manage app if unused on LumaKol’s app info page if your version shows it.
Tip: Power saving mode can still pause background apps. Keep it off during calling hours. - 4
Lock LumaKol in recent tasks
Open recent tasks, tap the three dots on the LumaKol card (or long-press the card) and tap Lock. A locked app is not cleared when you clear recent tasks.
- 5
Check how your dialer records calls
Look at Settings → Apps → Default apps → Phone app (wording varies) to see which dialer your phone uses.
- Google’s Phone app (many recent realme, OPPO and OnePlus phones): recording works where your country allows it, and everyone on the call is told it is being recorded. Google keeps these recordings inside the Phone app, so LumaKol cannot attach them. Calls and outcomes still sync.
- The phone’s own Phone app (on some models and regions): you can set it to record all calls, unknown numbers or specific numbers, and the recordings show in the Recorder app under call recordings. These are audio files on the phone, so LumaKol can attach them.
- 6
Turn on recording sync in LumaKol
In the app, open More → Calling and switch on Sync dialer recordings (only calls that match a lead are attached). If the app asks for access to music and audio, allow it: LumaKol reads only audio files your dialer creates around the time of a lead call. Two rows appear under the switch. Recordings folder is set to Automatic, which searches the phone’s audio library and finds most dialers’ files on its own. Upload recordings on Wi-Fi only is on by default, so recordings wait for Wi-Fi; switch it off if callers work on mobile data all day.
Tip: Check More → Diagnostics afterwards: with recording sync on, a Call recording sync row joins the list and should say Allowed. - 7
Point LumaKol at the folder if needed
If calls in the Calls tab say No recording found for this call while the dialer did record them, open the Files app and find the folder that holds your call recordings. Then in LumaKol open More → Calling → Recordings folder, go to that folder, tap Use this folder and then Allow.
- 8
Test with one call
Call a lead from LumaKol and hang up after a few seconds. The outcome prompt should open straight away. Clear your recent tasks, make another call, and check that it still shows in the Calls tab.
What you have at the end
- Background activity allowed for LumaKol
- LumaKol locked in recent tasks
- Calls captured after you clear recent tasks or restart
- A clear answer on whether your dialer’s recordings can attach
Common questions
My OnePlus has no call recording option. Can LumaKol record instead?+
No. LumaKol never records audio itself. It attaches recordings the phone’s own dialer makes. Calls, durations and outcomes are logged either way.
Do I need to do this on every phone in the team?+
Yes, on each caller’s phone. The settings belong to the phone, not to the LumaKol account. Setup health in More → Diagnostics shows each caller whether the LumaKol side is done.
