Turn missed calls into leads
A missed call from a new number on an agent’s work SIM becomes a lead with a callback due, owned by the agent whose phone rang. Off by default, Android only, and personal numbers stay out with “Not a lead”.
- Owner or admin access to Settings
- Agents on the LumaKol Android app with their work SIM chosen
- A word with your agents first, so they know which calls are sent once it is on

Turn it on
Settings → Calling policy → “Calls from new numbers”. Choose one of three options. Only calls on each agent’s chosen work SIM count, and outgoing calls to numbers that are not leads are never sent.
- Stay on the phone (nothing is sent) — the default
- Missed calls become leads, with a callback due
- Every incoming call becomes a lead, missed or answered

What happens when a new number calls
When a call comes in on the work SIM from a number that is not a lead, the Android app sends its number and call time to LumaKol. LumaKol creates a lead named “Missed call” followed by the number (or “Call from” followed by the number for an answered call) with the source “Missed call”, owned by the agent whose phone rang. It sets a follow-up due now to call back and logs the call on the lead.
- The agent gets a notification, “New lead from a missed call”, that opens the lead
- Several calls from the same new number make one lead, not several
- If the number is already a lead — even someone else’s — the call is attached to that lead instead
Astuce: After calling back, the agent renames the lead with the caller’s real name.- Call on the work SIMfrom a number that is not a lead

- Lead createdsource “Missed call”, callback due now
- Agent notified“New lead from a missed call”

Not a lead
Not every caller is a customer. On a lead made from a call, “Not a lead” — on the web and in the Android app — deletes the lead and remembers the number, so later calls from it never become a lead.
Astuce: Use it for a courier, a wrong number or a friend who called the work phone. - 4
Numbers marked “not a lead”
Admins can see every remembered number in Settings → Calling policy → Numbers marked “not a lead”, and remove one that was marked by mistake so its calls can become a lead again.
- 5
Share the leads out with a rule
A lead from a call belongs to the agent whose phone rang. To spread them across a team instead, add an automation rule: these leads count as new leads with the source “Missed calls”.
- When: A new lead arrives
- Only if: Lead source is Missed calls
- Then: Assign lead — share in turn between the people you tick
- 6
iPhones cannot do this
iOS does not let any app read call history, so missed-call leads work with the Android app only. Agents on iPhone return missed calls from the phone and add the caller as a lead by hand.

What leaves the phone
While the setting is on “Stay on the phone”, nothing about calls with numbers that are not leads ever leaves the phone. With one of the lead options on, only incoming calls from new numbers on the work SIM are sent: the number, the time, the duration and whether the call was missed or answered.
- Outgoing calls to unknown numbers are never sent
- Calls on the personal SIM are never read
Ce que vous obtenez à la fin
- Missed calls from new numbers turned into leads with a callback due
- Each lead with the agent whose phone rang, or shared out by a rule
- Personal and wrong numbers kept out with “Not a lead”
Questions fréquentes
Does it work on iPhone?+
No. iOS does not let any app read call history, so only the Android app can send calls from new numbers.
What if the caller is already a lead?+
No new lead is made. The call is attached to the lead that already has that number, even if it belongs to someone else.
Will a customer who calls three times make three leads?+
No. Several calls from the same new number make one lead.
Do answered calls become leads too?+
Only with “Every incoming call becomes a lead, missed or answered”. Those leads are named “Call from” followed by the number.
Do my outgoing calls to new numbers create leads?+
No. Outgoing calls to numbers that are not leads are never sent.
Can I undo “Not a lead”?+
An admin can remove the number from Settings → Calling policy → Numbers marked “not a lead”, so later calls from it can become a lead again.
