Turn every lead email into a lead your team calls
Many portals and directories only send enquiries by email. Give your mailbox a forwarding rule to your private LumaKol address, and each lead email becomes a lead with its name, phone and email, sent to the right caller.

- How leads get in
- Each email source has its own private address. Your mailbox forwards lead emails to it with a filter or rule, and LumaKol reads every message that arrives.
- How fast
- A lead is added as soon as the forwarded email reaches LumaKol, normally within a minute or two of your mailbox receiving it.
- Repeats and retries
- A message that reaches LumaKol twice is recorded once. If the phone number is already in your workspace, the enquiry becomes a note on that lead.

- In your mailbox, not in the portal: a Gmail filter with Forward it to, or an Outlook rule under Settings → Mail → Rules.
Who it’s for
Anyone whose enquiries arrive as emails: brokers on 99acres, MagicBricks, Housing.com and NoBroker, service businesses on Sulekha, and any website, directory or marketplace that emails you a new enquiry with the person’s details. If a portal has no integration but sends you an email, this is the way in.

How to connect it

Add an email source
In LumaKol, go to Integrations → Lead sources, choose Add source, then Email forwarding. The source gets its own private forwarding address.

Add the address in Gmail
Open Settings → See all settings → Forwarding and POP/IMAP → Add a forwarding address. Gmail’s confirmation code shows on the LumaKol source within a minute: enter it in Gmail, or open the link.

Forward only lead emails
Create a Gmail filter with the portal’s sender address in From and choose Forward it to your LumaKol address. In Outlook, add a rule under Settings → Mail → Rules with the same condition.

Choose the caller and test
Pick one caller or share leads in turn, set the starting stage and tags, then forward one real enquiry. It shows under the source’s Activity as New lead, Repeat or Not added, with the reason.

A label can be followed by a colon or a dash, or sit in the next table cell, and a label alone on its line takes the line below it. Links in the email are skipped when LumaKol looks for a number.
After the lead arrives
Ten-digit mobile numbers in emails from Indian portals are saved with the +91 code, so they match the leads you already have. A person who is already a lead gets the new enquiry as a note instead of a duplicate, and the same email delivered twice is added once. Keep the address private: every email that reaches it is read as a lead.
Common E-mails de leads problems, and the fix
Numbers from a website or directory get the wrong country code
The +91 rule only applies to portals LumaKol knows by name. Numbers from any other sender are read with your workspace’s country, so a number without a country code is treated as local to it. Ask the sender to include the country code, or check your workspace’s country.
The lead is saved under its phone number
The email had no line LumaKol reads as a name, so the lead is named after its number. Rename it after the first call, or ask the sender to put the name on a line that starts with Name.
Hand-forwarded emails are named after your own mailbox
When you forward by hand from Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, iCloud, Rediffmail, Zoho or Proton, LumaKol reads the original sender from the quoted From line. If your forward leaves that line out, the campaign shows your mail provider’s domain. Use your mailbox’s normal Forward, or let a filter do it.
Every forwarded email is Not added
Activity shows the reason next to each one. No valid phone number means the text of the email had no number LumaKol could read, for example when an email only links to the contact details. Those emails cannot become leads; bring that data in through Leads → Import instead.

Which portals does this work with?+
Any sender that emails you the person’s details. LumaKol names 99acres, MagicBricks, Housing.com, Sulekha, NoBroker, Square Yards, CommonFloor, Makaan, PropTiger, IndiaMART, JustDial, TradeIndia and ExportersIndia on the lead, and any other sender by its domain.
Is this an official integration with those portals?+
No. It works with the lead emails the portal already sends you. Nothing changes in your portal account, and you can stop at any time by removing the forwarding rule.
Why does the source show a Gmail code instead of a lead?+
When you add the address in Gmail, Gmail sends a confirmation email to it. LumaKol recognises that email and shows the code and the confirmation link on the source instead of making a lead. Enter the code in Gmail’s forwarding settings, and your next lead email goes through.
Will my other emails become leads?+
Only if they reach the LumaKol address. Forward with a filter on the portal’s sender address, not all your mail.
