Tally

Tally submissions, in a caller’s queue as they arrive

Connect the URL LumaKol gives you under your Tally form’s Integrations → Webhooks. Every submission becomes a lead with its answers and goes straight to the caller you choose.

  • Phone and email fields recognised
  • Choice answers as text
  • Form name saved as campaign

Tally at a glance

How leads get in
Tally’s webhook integration posts each submission to the private URL your LumaKol source gives you.
How fast
As Tally sends the webhook, normally seconds after the visitor presses submit.
Repeats and retries
Each submission is recorded by Tally’s response ID, so a resent submission is added once. Someone whose number is already a lead gets a note.
Where you set it up
In Tally: open the published form → Integrations → Webhooks → Connect, then paste the URL.

Who it’s for

Founders, creators, coaches and small teams who build forms in Tally because it is quick to set up: waitlists, consultation bookings, course enquiries and quote requests. When the person on the other end expects a call, LumaKol makes sure someone makes it.

  • Tally’s Phone number and Email fields fill the lead’s phone and email.
  • Dropdown, multiple-choice and checkbox answers arrive as the option text, not as ids.
  • The form’s name is saved as the lead’s campaign, so one source can take several forms.

How to connect it

  1. 1

Add Tally as a lead source

In LumaKol, go to Integrations → Lead sources, choose Add source, then Tally, and copy the webhook URL.

  2. 2

    Connect the webhook in Tally

Open your published form, go to Integrations, click Connect next to Webhooks, paste the URL and confirm.

  3. 3

    Ask for a phone number

Add a Phone number question. Questions titled like name, email, company or city fill those lead fields.

  4. 4

    Submit a test response

Fill in the published form once with your own number. It shows under the source’s Activity as New lead, with the form’s name as the campaign and every answer in the note.

What comes in with each submission

A Phone number fieldPhone
An Email fieldEmail
A question labelled like Name, Full name, First name and Last nameName
Questions labelled like Company, City, State or PIN codeCompany, city, state and postal code
Dropdown, multiple-choice and checkbox answersNote lines with the option text
File uploadsA note line with the file name
The form’s nameCampaign

Tally sends choice answers as option IDs; LumaKol turns them back into the words the person picked. Tally also sends one true or false value per checkbox option, which LumaKol skips because the checkbox answer already lists what was ticked.

After the lead arrives

The caller sees every Tally answer in the lead’s note before dialling, with the form’s name as the campaign. The starting stage and tags on the source apply to every submission, so a form that needs different handling, such as a course enquiry versus a callback request, is best given a Tally source of its own.

Common Tally problems, and the fix

  • Only one of my Tally forms sends leads

Webhooks are connected per form. Open each published form → Integrations → Webhooks → Connect and paste the URL; the form’s name, saved as the campaign, tells the leads apart.

  • The phone answer is in the note, not the phone field

A short-answer question titled something other than phone or mobile is kept as a note. Use Tally’s Phone number field, or title the question Phone or Mobile, and make it required.

  • Several forms arrive in one list

That is expected when they share one URL: each lead carries its form’s name as the campaign. If each form needs its own caller, stage or list, add a separate Tally source per form.

Questions about Tally

How do choice questions look on the lead?+

As the text of the option the person picked, saved in the note next to the question.

What happens to file uploads?+

The file’s name is saved as a line in the lead’s note, so the caller knows something was attached. Open the submission in Tally to see the file itself.

Can I send several Tally forms to one source?+

Yes. Connect the same URL on each form; the form’s name is saved as each lead’s campaign. Use separate sources when forms need different callers.

Can I tell which ad or page a Tally submission came from?+

Yes. Add a hidden field called utm_campaign to the form and fill it from the link: its value becomes the lead’s campaign instead of the form’s name. Other hidden fields are kept as lines in the note, while utm_source, utm_medium, utm_term and utm_content are left out.
