Your team and your rates

The starting values are an example to change. Every team’s rates are different.

People making calls on a normal day.
From start to end of the working day.
Time off the phone in a shift: lunch, tea, team huddles.
Days the team calls in a typical month.
Average from one dial to the next: ringing, talking and logging the outcome.
Share of dials that someone answers.
Share of answered calls that end in what you count: a visit, demo, sale or payment.
Results the whole team should reach in a month. Leave 0 for none.

Results

Per caller, per dayWhole team, per month
Dials420 minutes on the phone10513,650
Connected calls425,460
Results4.2546

At these rates it takes about 25 dials to reach one result.

The calculator counts whole dials only and assumes the same rates every day. Real days vary, so compare it with a few weeks of your own call records.

Reading the numbers

Four inputs do most of the work. Here is what each one changes.

  • Time on the phone

Shift length minus breaks is the time callers can actually dial. An hour of meetings a day takes the same share off every result.

  • Minutes per dial

Ringing, talking and logging the outcome all count. Shaving a minute off logging adds more dials than most training does.

  • Connect and result rates

Take them from your own records, over at least two weeks. Lists, hours and sources change them more than callers do.

  • Target check

The target turns into dials per caller per day. Above 100% of capacity, the fix is more callers, better lists or better rates. Longer shifts rarely close the gap.

Where the time usually goes

Small changes to the working day add up across a team and a month.

  1. Less time between calls

Typing notes, searching for the next number and dialling by hand all sit inside minutes per dial. A queue and one-tap outcomes cut that.

  2. Call the best leads first

Fresh enquiries and callbacks that are due answer more often than old lists. Ordering the day raises the connect rate without extra dials.

  3. Keep every follow-up

A lead promised a call back and then forgotten is a lost result. Booking the next call at the end of each call keeps them.

  4. Call when people answer

Answer rates change by hour. Check which hours your leads pick up and move calling time there.

Questions about the productivity calculator

What is a good number of dials per day?

It depends on the call. Short qualification calls allow far more dials than long consultative ones. Use the calculator with your own minutes per dial instead of a number from another industry.

How do I find my minutes per dial?

Divide the minutes your callers spend on the phone in a day by the dials they make. Include unanswered calls, since they take time too.

How do I measure the connect rate?

Count answered calls and divide by all dials over two weeks or more. A calling CRM that logs every call gives you this without counting by hand.

What should count as a result?

The step your team is measured on: a booked visit, a demo, a sale or a payment. Pick one and keep it the same, so months compare.

Does LumaKol measure these numbers for me?

Yes. The app logs calls on the work SIM with their duration and outcome (every call on Android, with the exact duration; calls started from LumaKol on iPhone, with an approximate one), and LumaKol’s reports show dials, connected calls, talk time and outcomes per caller.
