Facebook and Instagram leads, through your automation tool
LumaKol has no direct Facebook connection. Start a Make or Pabbly Connect workflow (or a Zap) with the Facebook Lead Ads trigger, send each lead to a LumaKol lead source link, and it goes straight to a caller.
- Arrives as your tool sends it
- Works for Instagram lead ads too
- Your own questions kept

Facebook, Instagram at a glance
- How leads get in
- Through your automation tool. A Make or Pabbly Connect workflow, or a Zap, starts from Facebook Lead Ads and posts each lead to a LumaKol source URL.
- How fast
- As fast as your automation tool passes the lead on. LumaKol adds it the moment the request arrives.
- Repeats and retries
- If the workflow sends Facebook’s lead ID as id or lead_id, a lead sent twice is recorded once; without an ID, an identical request is recognised. A known phone number gets a note.
- Where you set it up
- In Make, Pabbly Connect or Zapier. In LumaKol you only add the source and copy its URL.
Who it’s for
Teams that run lead ads and lose deals in the gap between a form fill and the first call: admissions counsellors, real-estate sales teams, clinics, insurance and loan advisors, solar installers, and agencies running campaigns for clients. Nobody downloads CSVs from Ads Manager any more; the lead is on a caller’s phone.
- Several Pages or forms? Send each to its own lead source, with its own callers, stage and tags.
- Map the platform, the ad name and your own questions into the notes field, and every lead says where it came from.
- The caller gets a push notification the moment the lead is added.
How to connect it
- 1
Add a Make or Pabbly Connect source
In LumaKol, go to Integrations → Lead sources, choose Add source, then Make or Pabbly Connect (or Zapier), and copy its private link.
- 2
Start from Facebook Lead Ads
In your automation tool, start the workflow with the Facebook Lead Ads trigger and choose the Page and form. Instagram lead ads come through the Page their Instagram account is linked to.
- 3
Choose the callers for your ads
Give the source one caller or share leads in turn, and set the stage and tags. Use one source per Page or form when different teams handle them.
- 4
Post each lead to LumaKol and test
Add an HTTP or webhook step that POSTs name, phone, email and notes to the link. Then submit a test lead from Meta’s Lead Ads Testing Tool with Preview form and your own details.
What your workflow should send
| What Facebook, Instagram sends | Where it lands in LumaKol |
|---|---|
| name or full_name, or first_name and last_name | Name |
| phone, mobile, phone_number or mobile_number | Phone |
| email or email_address | |
| company or company_name | Company |
| city, state, postal_code or pincode, and address | City, state, postal code and address |
| campaign or campaign_name | Campaign |
| notes or message, with your own questions, the platform and the ad name mapped in | The lead’s first note |
| id or lead_id, Facebook’s lead ID | Receipt ID, so a resend is ignored |
Keys are matched whatever their capital letters, and one level of nesting, such as a data object, is unwrapped. Only these fields are read, so map every answer you want to keep into notes. Other key names can be set under Field names on the source.
After the lead arrives
Someone who fills in a second form, or enquires again later, is matched by phone number, and the new enquiry is added as a note on the lead they already have, so two callers never ring the same person. Activity on the source lists every delivery, so you can see what your workflow sent.
Common Facebook, Instagram problems, and the fix
Leads arrive without a name or phone
The workflow sent keys LumaKol does not recognise. Rename them to name, phone and email in the HTTP or webhook step, or enter your own key names under Field names on the source with Edit.
Your own form questions are missing
LumaKol keeps free text from one notes field. In the workflow, map each extra answer into notes with its question in front, and it lands in the lead’s first note.
Leads arrive later than expected
LumaKol adds each lead as soon as the tool posts it, so any delay sits before that. Check the trigger’s settings and run history in Make, Pabbly Connect or Zapier.
Webhooks by Zapier is not available
Webhooks by Zapier needs a paid Zapier plan. On a free Zapier plan, add a Make or Pabbly Connect source in LumaKol and build the workflow there instead.
Questions about Facebook, Instagram
Can I connect my Facebook Page to LumaKol directly?+
No. Facebook and Instagram leads reach LumaKol through Make, Pabbly Connect or Zapier, using the steps on this page.
How fast do Facebook leads reach LumaKol?+
As fast as your automation tool passes them on. Each lead reaches the calling queue as soon as the tool sends it; how quickly the tool picks up a new Facebook lead depends on its trigger.
Do Instagram lead ads come through too?+
Yes, when the Instagram account is linked to the Facebook Page the trigger watches. Map the platform into the notes if you want each lead to say where it came from.
What can LumaKol see on my Page?+
LumaKol never connects to your Page. Your automation tool reads the leads and sends LumaKol only what you map: name, phone, email and notes.
Why did my test lead show as Not added?+
Create lead in Meta’s testing tool fills every field with placeholder text, so there is no valid phone number. Use Preview form and submit your own details instead.
