Housing.com enquiries, called while they are still looking
Forward the lead emails Housing.com sends you to your private LumaKol address, and every tenant or buyer enquiry becomes a lead in your team’s calling queue, with its contact details and the listing it came from.
- Through Housing.com lead emails
- Push to the caller’s phone
- Duplicates matched by phone

Housing.com at a glance
- How leads get in
- Forwarded Housing.com lead emails. LumaKol has no Housing.com login or API; it reads the emails Housing.com already sends you.
- How fast
- The broker gets a push as the lead is created, which is as soon as the forwarded email reaches LumaKol.
- Repeats and retries
- If the tenant already enquired on another portal or called you before, the phone number matches and the new enquiry is added as a note on that lead.
- Where you set it up
- Only in your mailbox’s forwarding settings. Nothing changes in your Housing.com account.
Who it’s for
Rental and resale brokers, co-living and PG operators, and builders listing on Housing.com. Tenants in particular contact several listings in one sitting and decide quickly, so the broker who calls back first is usually the one who shows the flat.
- Start Housing.com leads in a stage of your choice with a rental or resale tag, set once on the source.
- Callers schedule the viewing as a follow-up, with a reminder on their phone.
- Enquiries from 99acres and MagicBricks forwarded to the same workspace are matched by phone too.
How to connect it, through Housing.com lead emails
- 1
Add an email source
In LumaKol, go to Integrations → Lead sources, choose Add source, then Email forwarding, and name it Housing.com. Copy its forwarding address.
- 2
Confirm the forwarding address
Add the address in Gmail’s Forwarding and POP/IMAP settings; Gmail’s confirmation code shows on the LumaKol source within a minute.
- 3
Forward Housing.com emails
Add a filter (Gmail) or rule (Outlook) on Housing.com’s sender address that forwards those emails to LumaKol.
- 4
Route rentals and test
Pick the broker who handles Housing.com, or share leads in turn, and add a tag such as rental or PG. Forward one Housing.com email and check it under the source’s Activity.
What LumaKol takes from a Housing.com email
| What Housing.com sends | Where it lands in LumaKol |
|---|---|
| A Name, Customer name or Contact name line | Name |
| A Mobile, Phone number, Contact number or WhatsApp line; a bare Indian mobile in the text also counts | Phone, +91 for ten-digit mobiles, also when written with a leading 0 |
| An email address line, or the first address that is not a Housing.com one | |
| A Locality, Location or City line | City |
| A sender on housing.com, also when it is quoted inside a forward you sent by hand | Campaign: Housing.com |
| The subject, plus Requirement, Budget, Property and Message lines | A note on the lead |
A forward you send by hand from Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo or another personal mailbox still counts as Housing.com, because LumaKol reads the original sender from the quoted From line.
After the lead arrives
When a tenant or buyer who is already a lead enquires again, the new enquiry is added to their lead as a note and the lead moves up the queue, so the same broker follows up. Ten-digit mobiles are saved with +91, and an email without a phone number is listed under Activity as Not added.
Common Housing.com problems, and the fix
Tenants are called after they have found a place
Make sure each lead has an owner the moment it arrives: choose one broker or share in turn, so the push reaches a phone. A rule on A new lead is not called in time can pass it on when the first broker is busy.
One address for all portals, but one broker per portal
A single source gives every lead the same owner. Create one email source per portal, each with its own broker, and point each portal’s filter at its own address. A workspace can have up to 20 lead sources.
A Housing.com email reached LumaKol twice
The same message delivered twice is recorded once. A second copy sent as a new message, such as a manual forward after the filter already sent it, finds the existing lead by phone number and only adds a note.
Leads stopped arriving
Look at when the last one came in on the source, then check that the filter or rule in your mailbox still forwards to the address. If you add the address in Gmail again, the new confirmation code shows on the source.
Questions about Housing.com
Is this an official Housing.com integration?+
No. LumaKol has no partnership or API connection with Housing.com. It reads the lead emails Housing.com sends you, after you forward them to your LumaKol address.
Can I use one address for all property portals?+
Yes. One email source can take lead emails from several portals, and the portal’s name is saved as each lead’s campaign. Use separate sources when each portal needs its own caller.
What happens if a tenant enquires again?+
If the phone number is already a lead, the new enquiry is added as a note and the lead moves up the queue, so nobody calls them twice.
Can I forward a Housing.com email by hand?+
Yes. Use Forward in your mailbox and send it to the source’s address. LumaKol finds Housing.com as the original sender in the quoted header, so the lead still says Housing.com.
